Employment Along Beef and Agricultural Value Chains in Africa
In 2016, the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC) partnered with IFPRI to support network research on agricultural and beef value chains in Africa. Five research studies were undertaken to investigate employment generation along beef and other agricultural value chains, two each in East and West Africa and one in Southern Africa. In addition, a total of 15 postgraduate students were supported to carry out thesis research, 5 in 2016 and 10 in 2017/18. This dissemination workshop will present and discuss results from three of the five studies as well as a synthesis report on all five studies.
